Poseidon

Merman

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.
The once young boy whom I said just had a crush.
Now closely resembles Poseidon holding my scar sheathed heart in a lax fist while swimming out to sea.

It conforms to it’s new found home as thought it fits in his oversized palm better then it ever fit in my now vacant chest.

Even with fair warning I found myself encased under a blanket of his bodies warmth.

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.

In the honey colour pools of his eyes I find myself floating carelessly in comfort.

In the endless lengths of his arms I find myself falling with no satisfaction of ever hitting rock bottom.

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.

My head spins like a child winding a top as I anxiously await to drink toxic amounts of lust from his lips until intoxicated.

His soul sneaks threw his kiss with a wisp of breath, I inhale ever last ounce with the selfishness of a user looking for just one more hit.

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.

Buried deep inside me just as he once was are now lingering aching feelings of longing and lust.

As a one sided open sign I sit and anticipate the next banquet to consummate for my now hungry eyes.

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.

As conversation flows like a breath of fresh air I over think so high I’m floating in clouds far above the reach of reality.

I draw my eyes closed like curtains and on the canvas of darkness my sleep date appears to taunt me as he so willing does when I’m conscious.

Censoring thrives and flourishes with abstinence of one heart.

Because in his presence my mind turns to mush.
The once young boy whom I said just had a crush.
